The Story Behind Mr Boerboel
Hi, I’m Bobby, and Mr Boerboel began in June 2021 on TikTok with my beloved dog Onyx, a Boerboel (South African Mastiff).
Our first video was filmed on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, California, where Onyx encountered some black swans. We lived at the beach at the time, and our daily walks became a regular part of what I shared—simple moments together by the water.
I soon discovered that Onyx was a natural at posing with cars. I began filming walk-around videos with him, bringing together my love for my dog and my lifelong passion for cars. He became the face of Mr Boerboel and the reason it all started.
Although Onyx is no longer with us, I continue filming and sharing the cars that catch my eye. What began with our time together has grown into a place for people who share that same enthusiasm for classics, supercars and unexpected finds.
The name Mr Boerboel remains a tribute to Onyx. He will always be part of the story.
